Close to the shop, pub and children's playground, both cottages boast lovely countryside views from the upstairs rooms. If you prefer to really get away from it all, tucked away just outside the village you'll find Higher Cotterbury Cottage, a gorgeous stone cottage, full of character with a large garden perfect for dogs and children.

A true Devon working village surrounded by rolling farmland with stunning views out to Start Bay, Blackawton is ideally placed for a Devon cottage holiday being just a stone's throw from historic Dartmouth, the beaches at Blackpool Sands and Slapton and the beautiful scenery of the Dart Valley and South Devon coastline.

The village itself is found at the heart of a maze of Devon lanes and has a beautiful 15th century church, lively family friendly pub, well stocked village shop and thriving community well known for staging events throughout the year, including the quirky International Worm Charming Festival in May and a spectacular fireworks display in November.

Families on holiday in Blackawton can enjoy a day out at nearby Woodlands Theme Park, the all-weather family amusement park or explore the area in style on the Dartmouth Steam Railway.
