Kingsbridge holiday cottages

A lively market town located on a picturesque estuary, Kingsbridge is a fantastic place for a holiday, where you can enjoy close proximity to the beach, countryside, shops, restaurants and all the pretty surrounding villages of the South Hams.

Holiday cottages in Kingsbridge range from contemporary apartments overhanging the water, such as Crabshell Quay and The Moorings, to a former granary dating back to the 1700s, aptly named The Old Granary, set amongst peaceful gardens, ideal for a family holiday playing games on the lawn. Large families and groups of friends can celebrate special occasions at an exceptional former mill that has been transformed into an elegant manor house. Cornmill is set in a peaceful valley not far from Kingsbridge, surrounded by wooded hills with a brook running along the edge of its sweeping garden. Cornmill is one of our luxury dog-friendly cottages.

About Kingsbridge

The bustling market town of Kingsbridge is a fantastic destination for a holiday in the South Hams. At the head of the Salcombe ria (it is not technically an estuary although looks very much like one), there's plenty of fun to be had on the water, paddle boarding and sailing, but if you're not tempted to get your feet wet, the town has a welcome combination of both independent and high street shops and cafes.

There are plenty of great beaches within a short drive of Kingsbridge, including the family friendly and popular surf spot at Bantham, the 3 mile long historic Slapton Sands, and if you love rock pooling, then make sure you visit South Milton Sands at low tide to enjoy the wildlife surrounding the iconic Thurlestone rock arch.

There's a weekly and very colourful market in nearby Totnes which is well worth a visit, and the waterside town of Dartmouth is also within easy reach. For walkers and their canine companions, there are plenty of fantastic footpaths nearby including the South West Coast Path which can be accessed within a few miles.

After a hard day's holidaying, you can relax in one of the town's pubs and enjoy some great food at one of the cafes and restaurants. And if you really want to get away from it all, why not treat yourself to a film night at the wonderfully small but perfectly formed, Reel Cinema.
