Hope Cove holiday cottages

Nestled between two sweeping headlands is the historic fishing village of Hope Cove. This quaint seaside village is lined with pastel-coloured thatched fishermen's cottages and modern homes looking out to sea. With two sheltered beaches, a selection of pubs and cafes and the South West Coast Path running right through it, it's easy to see why our holiday cottages in Hope Cove are so popular for both family holidays and romantic retreats.

As its name suggests, Beachcomber is a beautiful thatched cottage just steps away from the beach. There's room for eight guests and a dog, and it has been newly renovated throughout, providing luxury accommodation for large families or groups of friends. Perched above the harbour, High Beach is a truly romantic bolthole with far reaching views across Bigbury Bay towards Burgh Island.

About Hope Cove

Hope Cove is a pleasant little fishing village which has been a popular holiday destination since the 1950s. The village is split into Outer Hope and Inner Hope which essentially means that you get two beaches for the price of one! Sheltered by the headland of Bolt Tail (from which on a clear day you can see right down to the coast of Cornwall), the beaches are great for the whole family whether you simply want a paddle or intend to be fully immersed in water sports.

The South West Coast Path runs right through the village, and is fantastic for walks to nearby South Milton Sands and Thurlestone, or if you head in the other direction past Bolberry Down, you can reach the dog friendly beach at Soar Mill Cove.

Hope Cove is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a couple of cafes, shops and a large pub. It's a short drive to Kingsbridge which has a high street, supermarkets, restaurants and a small cinema, or you might prefer to go to the bustling sailing hub of nearby Salcombe.

This relaxed seaside village is a great place to unwind, and is the perfect base for walks along the cliff path, paddling on the beach or simply enjoying the sea view with an ice cream.
