Perched on a clifftop with panoramic views of Start Bay is the friendly village of Stoke Fleming. Located on the winding coastal road that links Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, a holiday in Stoke Fleming makes an ideal base from which to explore the breathtaking South Devon coastline.

Within a mile of the village is one of the region's best beaches, Blackpool Sands. Surrounded by towering evergreen and pine trees, this golden shingle beach is a family favourite with calm waters, water sports equipment hire and the fantastic beachside Venus Café. On a sunny summer's day, you would be forgiven for thinking you were in the Mediterranean!

From Stoke Fleming, follow the spectacular coastal road for just three miles and you'll arrive in the ancient port town of Dartmouth. Its cobbled streets are lined with quirky shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, and kids will love exploring the historic ramparts of Dartmouth Castle.

Heading in the opposite direction, Stoke Fleming is just a few miles away from the mighty three mile stretch of Slapton Sands, Slapton Ley Nature Reserve and the beachside village of Torcross. Make sure to stop here for fish and chips from the Start Bay Inn - some of the best in the South West! The pretty market town of Kingsbridge and famously quirky Totnes are both within a 30-minute drive and are well worth a visit.

Stoke Fleming has a friendly, traditional pub, The Green Dragon, a village shop where you can pick up your holiday essentials, and a stylish restaurant, Radius 7. The South West Coast Path runs through the village so you can explore this stunning stretch of coastline on foot.
