Beeson holiday cottages

Surrounded by lush green fields, Beeson is a peaceful little hamlet. Our Beeson holiday cottages are all within a mile of the beach at Beesands, a pretty fishing village overlooking Start Bay. Here you can also join the South West Coast Path and enjoy breathtaking sea views as you climb the headlands to reach some of South Devon's best beaches.

From fishermen's cottages to modern family houses, our Beeson holiday cottages make a great base for couples and families to explore the beautiful coastline of Start Bay and beyond. Gull Cry is a picturesque 300-year-old converted fisherman's cottage within a half mile walk of Beesands beach. If you'd rather not leave any member of the family behind, Cob Cottage is one of our many dog-friendly holiday cottages. The charming home-from-home has been refurbished to a very high standard yet retains an abundance of character with exposed beams and a wonky stone fireplace.

About Beeson

Surrounded by peaceful countryside, yet less than a mile from the sea is the tranquil hamlet of Beeson.

The rural village is only a short fifteen-minute walk away from Beesands, a pretty seaside fishing village. Here you'll find a mile-long stretch of pebble beach where anglers cast off and kayakers splash about in the water. Beesands offers stunning views of Start Bay, stretching from Start Point Lighthouse in the south east, towards the mouth of the Dartmouth estuary in the north east. The South West Coast Path runs through Beesands, making Beeson an ideal base for a walking holiday. Follow the coastal path along craggy headlands to reach Torcross, Hallsands or Start Point.

When it comes to delicious food, you don't have to look far. Right on the edge of Beesands beach, The Cricket Inn is a spacious, friendly pub serving delicious freshly made food, from traditional fish and chips to chargrilled steaks. A holiday in Beeson wouldn't be complete without a visit to Britannia @ The Beach. This rustic beach café, affectionately known as 'The Shack', serves a mouth-watering menu of fresh seafood, changing daily depending on the fisherman's catch. As well as breakfast, lunch and dinner, The Shack also doubles up as a fishmonger, shop and takeaway. Both restaurants are less than a mile away from Beeson.

From Beeson, it takes just five minutes to join the main road linking Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Driving along the dramatic coastal road to Dartmouth is a must, passing stunning Blackpool Sands, one of Devon's best beaches, on the way. Both Dartmouth and Kingsbridge are easy to reach and offering a variety of shops, supermarkets, cafés, pubs and restaurants.

A holiday in Beeson offers a tranquil base from which to explore South Devon's stunning coastline.
