Holidays in South Huish are best spent exploring the many beaches nearby. Less than a mile away is South Milton Sands, one of Thurlestone's beautiful beaches. It's a brilliant spot for swimming' kayaking and stand up paddle boarding thanks to its calm waters. There's also a popular beachside caf´, The Beach House, which serves delicious fresh seafood and takeaway refreshments. South Milton Sands also allows dogs all year round, making South Huish a great destination for a dog-friendly holiday. A little further in from the beach is Thurlestone village where you'll find a cosy pub, The Village Inn, which serves great food, and an 18-hole links golf course.

Also nearby are the pretty harbour beaches of Hope Cove and Soar Mill Cove. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to the South Huish Reserve. Lying in a shallow valley behind the sand dunes of South Milton Sands, the marsh attracts around 200 species of birds a year.

The lively market town of Kingsbridge is only a quick 10 minute drive away, where you'll find a vast array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as two supermarkets, a cinema and a leisure centre. Salcombe, one of the UK's most popular holiday destinations, is 3 miles away, and offers lots of boutique shops, waterside restaurants and golden sandy beaches.
